Tuesday Ten

1. I'm such a slacker when it comes to my blog. I often forget to post. So I made a plan. And hopefully I can stick to it and you'll see many more posts in the future.

2. I did the annual craft fair, and someone ordered a custom tutu. I'm pumped to give this business a whirl. (see - dancer tutu humor lol).

3. Nora bear is sick. And that makes me a sad momma bear. She's so stuffed up and sniffley. I hate weather changes.

4. It's cold and rainy. I would take sun and snow and cold over damp rainy yuckiness.

5. The wedding countdown is on. One month until we are officially married. I'm excited. And stressed lol.

6. We are no longer going tropical south for a honeymoon. And that sucks balls. I'm pissy about it but there's really not much I can do.

7. Our Christmas tree is up. Not decorated. But up. So I'm happy.

8. I am going to see the muppet movie at stars and strollers on Thursday! Can't wait. We saw happy feet two last week and Nora loved it.

9. Tea morning with my girls tomorrow! Yay!

10. Nora bear is 5 months old today. I can't believe how time is flying. This time last year we were starting to tell people that I was expecting. I can't believe how big my baby is already.

We had a fun little photo shoot this afternoon.

Craft Fair Fun

So this weekend was the annual Christmas Craft Fair on the base - and it was a good time. I'm lucky because I'm on the list for a table because I work for PSP. It's awesome :) The waiting list is about 55 people right now (and there are 100 tables at the show). I sold my baby tutu's and my friend Danielle sold crocheted baby hats. She made $210 and I made $92. And I gave my business card to several people who were interested in my tutus. I'm pumped for the craft show circuit next year and I'm excited to start advertising my stuff on etsy and on my website (eventually lol). My little lady did really well all weekend so I'm pretty happy with that too. I think she helped bring people to our table - hopefully she can do the same thing for us next year lol.

On the wedding front.... well I'm frustrated. That's all I will say right now but there are a lot of things that are making me extremely upset about everything. And it doesn't help that it's the end of a really tough semester for Paul so he's super stressed and snappy and I'm stressed and snappy. All in all it makes for a not so happy household. But on a happy note - Christina's dress is in so we just have to head across the border next weekend to pick it up :) Thank goodness it arrived before the wedding lol. Now I just need to head to Trenton to pick mine up lol.

Twihards!

So I totally forgot to post last week.... I went to Breaking Dawn Part 1 on Thursday night for the premiere here in Kingston!! And it was phenomenal. I have been a huge fan of the books since they came out, I wasn't as big a fan of the movies at first but they've definitely grown on me.

Thursday night I left the house at 5:30 pm with my good friend Kyshna, Nora was having her first big Daddy-Daughter date night. We arrived at the theatre at 6:30, after having stopped at the Bulk Barn to pick up some candy for our evening. By the time we got there, there was already a line up outside the theatre. And yes. It was outside. And it was freaking cold. I think the temp was approx -2 Celsius. And boy oh boy was the wind cold too. But eventually we were let inside and we were able to get some really awesome seats.

The movie completely lived up to my expectations. It followed the book quite closely. The wedding was phenomenal and Bella's dress was incredible. Almost makes me wish that I had picked the first wedding dress I tried on instead of the second one lol. But oh the music... I am in love with the soundtrack. AND I love love love where they ended the movie. It was the perfect spot. But I'm bummed that I have to wait another year for Part 2 lol.

RMC Christmas Ball

So last night was our second date night since Nora was born. It was the RMC Christmas Ball. My preparations began on Tuesday when I went for a pedicure. Then yesterday afternoon I went to the hair salon to get my updo done. The girl who did my hair was amazing. So amazing that I booked her to do my hair for the wedding :)
Then I came home, applied my fake nails lol, did my makeup. And then Paul's parents arrived from out west. We got dressed and posed for some pictures.

Even in my heels I look SO short next to Paul lol. Then we headed off to a Jen's house for pre-drinking, although I just had water because I was driving. After that we headed to the KMCSC, which is the military gym lol. They actually had it all decorated so that it didn't really look like the gym at all.

The evening was fun. But I'm feeling it today. Staying out late really takes it out of me now lol.

And RMC has some of the weirdest traditions ever, when Dancing Queen comes on, all of the cadets strip down. It was weird lol.

All in all, a fun night out.

Monday Monday

So much to do... not enough hours in a day. But let me tell you, yesterday's extra hour - well, it was AWESOME! Nora actually slept until her normal time 8:30am, so I didn't have to worry about waking up at an awful hour of the morning. I started our wedding invitations yesterday - yes, I know I'm a little bit late in doing them, but most of the people who are being invited to the wedding, know when it is. And we were also waiting for confirmation of times from some people first. So now I'm set to finish them tonight/tomorrow.

Today has been a busy day so far, I went grocery shopping with Nora - did Costco with her in the Boba - that carrier has been a godsend when I do shopping on my own. I spend a little more than I was planning this week on groceries but I did buy enough meat to last us for at least 10-12 meals so we won't have to go back and get more for at least 2 weeks. I received our free Gevalia coffee that I signed up for on facebook today too. So no worrying about buying coffee for Paul for a bit.

I'd write more but I have an unhappy little camper who needs some cuddling right now. We have entered the world of teething - pink cheeks, immense amounts of drool, and little nubs trying to poke through her gums. So far she's been very well behaved for being teething but every once in awhile, she gets really upset.

CHRISTMAS!!!!

It is November 1st and that means I can start playing Christmas carols and I can break out the decorations. I'm soooooo excited for Christmas this year. It will be our first official one that we actually spend in our house since we moved here. Every year we have been away to either Calgary or Georgia. And since the wedding is in 2 months, everyone will be spending Christmas at our house! And it's also Nora's first Christmas which is fun and exciting. I'm a little bit nervous to meld family traditions together and to start to make our own. I don't want to anger anyone but Paul and I want to start some new ones for OUR family.

I hope that Starbucks also gets in the Christmas mood and brings out the peppermint hot chocolate and their red cups soon!!!
