Blog Angels Wrap Up!!

I participated in the Blog Angels this past month.  I fear that I wasn't the best Blog Angel in the world but I also think that's because I'm not sure what I could have offered my partner.  Today is our big REVEAL :)

My Blog Partner was.......

Kate over at

She is REALLY awesome and I urge all of you to check out her blog.  She is due with her third baby and they aren't finding out what they are having :)  Which is awesome (that's what we did with Nora).

As far as being her blog angel - I am following her blog, I've commented on it, I follow her on Twitter now, and I've liked her FB page.  I also follow her Pinterest boards too :)  And I've offered to do a guest post for her while she is having her babe - which is soon because she's 36 weeks right now!!! YAY!!  (the Guest Post is Almost ready - just taking some extra pictures to dress it up a bit lol).

It's been fun and I wish I could have done more for her, and I look forward to continuing to follow her blog and can't wait to hear all about her new baby when they arrive :)

Thanks to Rosie for hosting this whole thing - I can't wait to participate again!!

Sore Feet

If you were here right now next to me.... I might ask you for a foot massage.

My feet hurt.

I taught dance tonight for 3.5 hours.  I love my job as a dance teacher.  But some nights, it just kills my feet lol.

There has been much drama at the dance studio lately - I try not to get too involved, but it's definitely hard not to.  Our studio is a not for profit organization - so it has a Board of Directors as well as the Artistic Director of the studio.  Right now, the Studio isn't doing too great financially, and many people are not fond of the Board Members (because they don't feel that the BM's have the studio's best interests in mind).  And this evening, our AD gave her resignation.  It sucks, it really does.  But I just have to keep telling myself it's only for one more year and then we move away (thank you Military).  I just hope that I continue to have a job to go to for the rest of the dance season, I've worked so hard with these kids that it would be a shame to have it all disappear.

On a happy note though, the Admin Manager baked me a cake tonight.  Just out of nowhere, for no reason whatsoever, she made me a hot pink Minnie Mouse cake.  And it was delicious.  I love when Random Acts of Kindness occur - it makes me want to do that for someone else now too. :)

Oh what a week!

WOW.  What a week this has been.  We have been so busy at our house this.  Okay, I've been so busy this week.  I started teaching the Summer Dance Intensive this week and man oh man are my legs SORE!  I also worked at Justice this week too - and it just so happened that 2 of my shifts were the same days as my long nights at teaching so those days were very tiring and by the time I was done teaching at 8:30... I was ready to fall over.

This has also been a great week at our house too - Paul finished his french course, got his B, so we've been super happy about that.  And we got some other good news that makes us very happy as well - but we can't talk about it quite yet.  And only 272 days until Paul's graduation!! Yippee!!

Sorry this isn't too exciting - I'm just updating quickly before I go to the Women's Expo in our town - I'm pretty excited to see what is out there for us ladies :)

Happy Saturday!!

Blog Angels

*edit*  Don't you hate it when you hit Publish... but you didn't actually hit it and you just hit save... yea... that happened last night... oops lol

So I'm participating in this super awesome thing - Blog Angels!  It's pretty cool.  We were given a secret partner - and someone else is my angel.  So this month, so far, I have followed my pal on Twitter, followed her on Bloglovin' and and Google Friend Connect.  I have commented on her blog several times.  And I even plan on doing some guest blogging for her too.

This isn't too much of an exciting post lol but I'm loving being an Angel to someone, it makes me feel awesome :)  You should all check it out and become an Angel in September :)

August?? SAY WHAT???

So yea... it's August 7th... WHAT?? August 7th??  The summer is more than half over.  My baby is 13 months.  And I'm back at work.  Where in the world is time going???  There are some days that I wish I could just hit pause and relax and enjoy everything just a little bit longer.

I'm working two jobs right now (plus the whole Mom gig lol), one at the mall (I'm not technically "allowed" to state where I work on the internet - it's against company policy - but it's pretty much the only clothing store geared towards pre-teen girls) and I'm about to start teaching dance again.  I did one ballet class last week and I'm teaching one tonight again and then next week Summer Dance Intensive starts on Monday.  I'm excited yet VERY nervous about it.  I also really need to start planning my classes lol.  Now my job at the mall - it's a job.  That's about it.  We needed the extra money right now so we can work towards paying off our car completely and finish paying for our Jamaica trip.  I count my work hours as money paid off and really nothing more.  It kind of sucks.  I've been thinking more about home based business type things again - I'm still a Stampin' Up rep and I either need to get things going with that again or I need to just suck it up and give it up (which is hard to do because I LOVE the product).  And I'm still semi-interested in Scentsy because it isn't too big here in Canada yet, so it would be nice to get my foot in the door with that.  But with all this teaching and stuff, I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.  Oh the decisions.

Baby Girl is getting HUGE, and getting into everything lol.  She can sign all done, please, milk and she's starting to do thank you.  And you can tell she's trying to say please when she does her sign too.  It's adorable.  I'm glad that we decided to do some sign language thrown in with real talking :)  Also, she says Mama and Dada.  And Paul swears she said I love you Daddy last night but I'm not sure lol.  We're trying to wean her.  It sucks.  I'm glad that Paul is on 3 weeks of leave right now because he gets up with her the 2-3 times she STILL wakes up at night.  Any suggestions on how to stop that??????

That's all for now - I'm off to work :)

So What Wednesday...

SO WHAT IF.......

- I have been letting Nora sleep in our bed for part of the night... if she's not sleeping, we're not sleeping, and with me working again - I need the sleep
- my house isn't spotless - I spend my days playing with my little girl (with a little bit of computer playing too) but our house isn't gross, it's just lived in lol
- I haven't blogged in ages.  It's been BUSY around here.
- I taught ballet last night.  And I haven't taught that in YEARS.  And I even did some pointe work with them.  And I haven't put on my pointe shoes in 12 years.  I feel old now.
- it's only 62 days until my 30th birthday and I keep reminding Paul about that.  He needs to buy me something good - 30 is a BIG deal.
- my sewing machine has been sitting out for almost 6 months and I haven't sewn anything yet... I'm planning to soon, this whole going back to work thing has thrown a kink into all of my plans lol.

And that's what's happening today.  And it's August 1st.  Where did July go?  It feels like I blinked and missed it.  And we're not going on any "real" vacations this summer, it's not in our budget - sadface.  But I shouldn't complain because we are going to Jamaica over Christmas break, and that's gonna be AWESOME.  I'm a teensy bit excited for that, only 152 days until we leave :)  And only 290 days left for Paul at RMC, and then we head back "home" for me.  Or at least to the same city as my parents.  I'm super excited for that.  Really really excited.  It's going to be awesome.  Anywho, Happy August 1st!!
