5 For Five

Linking up Again with Jessica and Jenn for 5 for Five.

1.  Clean out master bedroom closet.
2.  Make weekly meal plan
3.  Reorganize/Clean main floor of the house.
4.  Catch up with the card making challenge.
5.  Make my Easter shelf in the living room.

Well it’s been an interesting week lol.  First of all – I’m late in posting my 5 for Five – but that’s because I forgot it was Monday yesterday.  It was a crazy weekend for us as it was MOC weekend at the College for Paul.  We did get several answers though, and we could be posted as soon as the long weekend in May.  Which has made me stress out a teensy bit… you know, list our house, sell our house, have a baby, he graduates, we move – all within a 6-8 week time period.  No biggie, right??  So onto my goals – Master bedroom was cleaned and looks Amazing!  I’m so happy with it right now, and it’s still clean, which is awesome.  Meal plan was made and we mostly stuck to it – we did change plans on Saturday night because Paul didn’t get home until later.  #3 I did most of the mainfloor – the front hall closet still needs going through as well as the bench in our front hallway.  But it is relatively organized so I’m happy. #4 – I didn’t even touch my card making supplies this week – we were so busy with cleaning and organizing and starting to do our deep clean so our house will be ready to list.  Maybe this week??  And my Easter shelf is made – I want to tweak it a little bit… but I’m not sure with what yet – I plan to peruse Pinterest tonight.

This week’s Goals!
1.       Clean out Front hall closet
2.      Make Easter treats for church.
3.      Organize shelf in basement hall
4.      Make meal plan.
5.      Do some Easter crafts with Nora.
Hopefully I will be able to get this stuff done this week

Tuesday Ramblings...

It’s a new font!!  Yippee!!  I love when I download a new font that I think is super cute lol.  Today has been a Very long day for us.  Nora had a really rough night last night and was up several times, and then decided to actually wake up at about 7:30am.  She did however take a nice 3 hour nap but that made her not want to go to bed tonight so she was up about 2 hours past her normal bedtime.  I am not quite sure what is going on with her – but she does not want to sleep in her room and often wakes up and comes into our room.  My only saving grace with that is that we put an air mattress on the floor in our bedroom for her because I can not handle having her sleep in the bed with us anymore.  Being pregnant doesnt leave a lot of room in a Queen size bed.
I also had a crummy day in regards to teaching stuff.  I’m on mat leave now.  You’d think I wouldn’t have to worry about any of that crap anymore – but I got a nasty email because I didn’t write out the choreography for my Intermediate ballet class.   I’m sorry – they should know that dance and I shouldn’t have to write it out.  I did the studio a favour by making sure all but one dance were choreographed and finished before I went on mat leave.  There are still two and a half months until recital – most other dances are only just started.  SO piss off.  Argh.
On a brighter note – I went through our closet today and have a huge pile of clothes that I’m getting rid of and I managed to fill two rubbermaids full of stuff to store in the garage while we are showing the house (which should be in the very near future).  So that’s one less thing to completely worry about.  My goal this week is to try to do at least one “room” of the house each day (even if the room is a closet lol).
Happy Tuesday to you all – hope your day was sunny and not as snowy as mine lol.

5 for Five

Well last week did not really turn out how I had hoped lol.

1. Blog at least 2 times this week. – I blogged once.
2. Finish my St. Paddy’s Day Mantle – finished, took it down before St. Paddy’s Day because we painted the main floor of the house and my shelf was taken down off the wall lol.  So it was a pointless goal I guess lol.
3. Clean out the closet in Nora’s bedroom – Nope, didn’t even open the door.
4. Make weekly mealplan for this week. – I did and we mostly followed it.
5. Clean out the closet in Paul’s office. – Didn’t even step foot in his office this week either lol.

So it was a half and half week.  I blame the fact that we repainted our entire main floor of the house this weekend.  Pictures and a post to come later this week.  I can’t believe how different and WONDERFUL it looks.  I am SO in love with the new colour.

New Weekly Goals!

1.  Clean out master bedroom closet.
2.  Make weekly meal plan (I’m kind of cheating with this one because I already made it yesterday lol but still, the fact that I actually made it and we shopped based on said plan, is AWESOME!!)
3.  Reorganize/Clean main floor of the house.  It’s still in shambles from the great paint of the weekend lol.  And I want to put some pictures up and actually make it look like a pretty house lol.  Although this one might not get fully done because Paul still has to paint all of the baseboards/trim.  Hopefully that will only take one night to do though.
4.  Catch up with the card making challenge.  I tried so hard to keep on top of that, but I’m like a month behind.  I feel really bad about it.  I will catch up this week and then everyone will get a TON of cards from me all at once lol.
5.  Make my Easter shelf in the living room.  Easter is only 2 weeks away!! And that means only 9 days until we go pick my Mom up and she’s here for the Easter weekend!! Woohoo!! I’m pretty excited about that and I want to have everything all decorated before she gets here.

I think my goals are manageable this week.  Or at least I hope they are.  Being 34 weeks pregnant does make some things take longer when I’m doing them.  Also I’ve been having some crazy Braxton Hicks contractions lately which is not so nice but, hey, it’s to be expected at this point in time lol.  I’m still not quite sure when this baby is going to make her arrival.  According to the Dr. Baby A is measuring very small and will now arrive on the 27th of April.  My original due date was the 16th.  That’s A HUGE difference people.  But according to the baby apps I have on my phone I’m still hitting all of the milestones according to the first due date and the first due date was based on my monthly cycle so isn’t that more accurate than size??  What do I know?  I’m not the doctor lol.  So I think Baby A will arrive whenever she wants to.  But I think the long walks we were planning on taking with Nora and Bella are out of the picture for now, that’s when the contractions hit hard lol.  ANYWHO, enough rambling for the moment.  HAPPY MONDAY!!

5 for Five

Linking up Again with Jessica and Jenn for 5 for Five.

Here were last week's goals:
green = complete    purple = half done   red = no such luck.
1.  Blog at least two times this week.

2.  Finish choreographing all of my dances for D.I.M. before I’m done teaching.
3.  Finish my St. Paddy’s Day mantle.

4.  Wash, dry, and fold all of the clothes in the basement.

5.  Clean out the closet in Nora’s bedroom.

Well this week was kind of a bust.  I got sick on Monday night so most things got pushed aside for the week.  Although I did manage to blog twice this week, once on Monday and once on Friday.  I choreographed the majority of my dances before I was finished teaching, except my Tuesday night dances because I was sick so I wasn’t there to teach them.  But they are almost done lol.  I didn’t even touch my mantle.  I did all of the laundry except two loads so that’s actually not too bad either lol.  And I didn’t touch the closet in Nora’s room.  Let’s see if this week can be a better week.

1. Blog at least 2 times this week.
2. Finish my St. Paddy’s Day Mantle
3. Clean out the closet in Nora’s bedroom
4. Make weekly mealplan for this week.
5. Clean out the closet in Paul’s office.

Hopefully this week will be better than last week lol.

Fab Friday

I’m linking up with Laura this Friday for FAB FRIDAY!!

So here are some fab things happening in my life right now:

1.  I officially start my maternity leave at 4:15pm tomorrow night.  To say I’m excited about this is a little bit of an understatement.  If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you may remember how stressed out I was getting over teaching and the dance studio well now I’m done and I no longer have to worry about anything with them!  I’m pretty pumped about that.  And I’m also pretty excited that I get an entire year of with my babies it should be fabulous!

2.  I’m finally getting over being sick.  I honestly thought I was dying earlier this week.  I had a cold/sinus infection/flu and felt horrible on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  I started to feel better yesterday and today is much better as well.  I still have a horrid cough and sound like a man but I’m on the mend.

3.  only 20 days until my mom is coming back out to visit for Easter.  And now there is a small chance that my dad might be coming along too!  He’s on his way down to Georgia right now to visit my sister and my mom planned her trip based on his original travel plans of staying in Georgia until mid april turns out, he’s coming home in 2 weeks lol.  So, if she comes here at Easter that leaves him alone in the ‘Peg so if he can find a seat sale, he will come out here too!

4.  Nora has pooped on the potty consistently for a week now.  We aren’t really trying to train her (mostly because we know it will probably all go out the window once Baby A arrives) so it’s mostly just when she wants to sit on the potty that we take her.  But I’m still super proud of her for being consistent this week.  And I wonder if it has something to do with her being in cloth diapers who knows? Either way, I’m one proud momma this week.

5.  Another Nora milestone our kid hates veggies and meat.  BUT she is starting to eat carrots!! And peppers!!  And she will eat ham still no chicken or turkey but hey, it’s a start now lol.  And we’re trying to cut back on the berry intake lol.  She does love having a smoothie with me in the morning though, and Paul just bought some spinach for me to add in now too (because I just found out I have SUPER Low iron levels booo).

Hope you all have a fab Friday and a wonderful weekend!!

5 for Five

5 for Five

I’m participating in a new link up today in hopes that it will actually keep me on track with some of my goals this week lol.

So I’m linking up with the lovely Jenn and Jessica for 5 for Five.

Obviously I don’t have 5 goals from last week to report back on yet so these will just be my 5 goals for this week that I will report back on next Monday!

1.  Blog at least two times this week.  I’ve really been slacking on the blogging thing and I’ve actually done a few Pinterest projects that I want to post about and I’m about to start mat leave and be finished with teaching so there is a lot to talk about it lol.

2.  Finish choreographing all of my dances for D.I.M. before I’m done teaching not much time left to complete that one as my last day of teaching is on Thursday lol.  So hopefully I’ll be able to get my butt in gear and get those done so I can pass all the info along to the people who are taking over for me.

3.  Finish my St. Paddy’s Day mantle.  I need to print some stuff up still and hang things and have Nora make some things for it too.

4.  Wash, dry, and fold all of the clothes in the basement.  Definitely need to get on this one I’m sick of having laundry to do lol.

5.  Clean out the closet in Nora’s bedroom.  I have a bag of clothes I want to give away to some of my students before I stop teaching so it HAS to be done this week lol.

So there you have it my 5 goals to try to accomplish this week.  Now to see if I can get my butt off the couch.  The end of this pregnancy is definitely taking its toll on me.  I find it extremely hard to sleep at night again and I feel as though I’m in constant pain as this little lady makes her way further south.  Plus her big sister has also not been sleeping through the night either which also makes it hard on me because although I love my husband he could sleep through a Zombie Apocalypse and wouldn’t wake up so I’m always the one dealing with Norabear.  Okay, enough complaining time to get cracking :)
