February Goals

It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged. I feel like I’ve almost forgotten what to do and what to say but at the same time, I really miss having an outlet to write. That being said - I have some goals for this February and hopefully - I’ll be able to achieve some of them.

1. Blog 3 times per week minimum. Even if it’s just pictures or trying to document the day - I want to start this little blog of mine again.

2. Organize my craft room. Right now it’s just a dumping zone for things we don’t know where to put. I really want to get it cleaned and organized so that I can take an hour or two in the evening to do some crafts without feeling like I have to spend my time cleaning and then not get anything done.

3. Set up my Lipsense facebook page. I recently started selling Senegence beauty products. I am IN LOVE with their lipsense line. It’s kiss proof, smudge proof lipstick. And it stays on for most of the day - and as a Mom - not having to reapply my lipstick every 30 minutes is awesome. AND when I kiss my little Bean’s face all the time, my lipstick doesn’t come off on her lol.

4. Make a practice cake for Danie’s wedding. My sister is getting hitched soon and I’m making the cake for the wedding. Granted, it will be made at her house so the oven will be different and she lives in another country so the weather may make things different too. But I still want to try it out at least once before we head down there.

So there you have it - February’s goals. Hopefully I can stick to them :)

Do you make monthly goals?? Or did you make some awesome New Year’s Resolutions - and are you sticking to them??

August Goals

 Welcome August!!

The beginning of August was very dark and dreary here.  It started out as a hot and muggy morning and then all of a sudden, the skies got super dark and it began to hail, and then it poured.  For pretty much the whole afternoon.  However, it was nice because the girls played in their playroom for pretty much the whole day and had a blast and I was able to get some house cleaning done :)

Anywho - onto the August Goals - I may as well try to hold myself accountable here and get a few things accomplished this month.

1. Have a baby.  Pretty self-explanatory lol.  But it is officially baby month so I thought I should put it in here lol.

2.  Blog more consistently.  I would like to try to blog every day in August but I know that once the baby does arrive, things may not go quite according to any plans I have so I'm trying to be flexible.  I think I would be happy if I could blog 4-5 times per week.

3.  Rearrange the master bedroom in our house.  Right now - the layout I just not working for me and I would like to switch things around a bit.  It may mean covering up the window with our bed frame a little bit and the possibility of covering the floor vents too... But I think in the long run it will work out okay.

4.  Clean out Paul's dresser.  We have those Ikea dressers that are being recalled, so it the end it actually helps me out a little bit.  I want to get rid of his dresser (mostly) and hang the majority of his clothing because we have double closets in our bedroom.  And he has the closet organizer so he should be able to fit most of his stuff into the closet.  Maybe that will be tomorrow's project lol.

I will check back in mid-month to see how these are going (and if they are mostly done, I may add in some more lol).

Do YOU have any goals for this month??

Weekly Wishes

Linking up with the Lovely Melyssa over at The Nectar Collective.  I love goal setting and after a whirlwind beginning of the summer – I’m in the need for actually making some new goals and sticking to them.

1.        Write a blog plan and stick to it for the week.  I have majorly slacked on the blogging lately.  I really have no excuse for it other than I just haven’t made the time for it.

2.       Host my first Jamberry Nails Party.  That’s right folks, I’m the newest Jamberry Nails rep lol.  And I LOVE IT.  If you want to order them – I can ship to the US and Canada, check out my site: http://karenhansen.jamberrynails.net/

3.       Clean our Dining Room up.  We are getting a new table and chairs.  By the time I post this, they may already be in our house.  They are not new – new, just new to us.  It’s actually my Grandma and Grandpa’s Dining Room set.  When they passed away, my Uncle and his wife received the table, chairs, buffet and hutch.  They are getting a new set from her family now, and since we finally live in the same city as family, they asked if I would like them so they stay within our immediate family.  We of course said Yes immediately.  I hope that everything fits and that they look nice lol.

4.       Make some big decisions – I may have a great opportunity to make some extra cash coming up soon but we need to decide if it’s worth the time and effort or not.  Ahh being a grown up lol.

So check back with me next week to see if I’ve managed to accomplish ANY of these items lol.
