Say Hello!!!

1. What blogs do you visit daily? Please list 1-3 of your favorites.

3 of my favorites are:

2. Are you on Instagram? If so, what is your user name?

Yuppers - KarenEAnne

3. Can we find you on Pinterest? What's your Pinterest address, and what can we expect to see you pinning most? (recipes, DIY projects, home decor, etc.)

Yes Pinterest is my guilty pleasure I pin far too much, most of it is stuff for my little girls, and holiday décor.  I’ve started pinning things to use in my dance classes and recipes.  My Pinterest name is Karen Elizabeth - KarenEAnne and you can find me here.

4. What are your favorite blog link-ups to participate in? (weekly link-ups other bloggers have...any number will do...please link us to them!)

I like to link up to Fab Friday with Laura when I can remember lol.  I also LOVE So What Wednesday with Shannon.  I’d like to do more, but honestly, I forget I blame it on the pregnancy lol.

5. Why do you blog?

I blog because I like getting feedback on things.  I still do normal journaling because there are just some things that I can’t bring myself to talk about on the internet lol.  Plus I can keep in contact with my Mom and my Sister, being in a military family, it’s hard to always let them know what’s going on
my blog helps us keep in closer contact.

6. Tell us one random fact about yourself.

I drink one can of pop per day.  Doesn’t matter what type
it’s usually Coca-Cola.  Or if I can find it Dr. Pepper.  It’s my nasty little habit, I’ve tried SO hard to cut it but I just can’t.  Some people drink coffee, I drink Coke.  Also on that note, I HATE coffee.  Like completely hate it.  I can’t even drink a drink that has a hint of coffee in it without making a face or without gagging.  I know it’s weird lol.

Linking up with my pal Randalin today for the first time – Randalin is the lovely lady who did my new blog design – you should really check her blog out.  Also, it’s co-hosted by Lindsey at Ot &Et and she also has a really awesome blog

GROWING, MAKING, WORRYING, DANCING, LAUGHING

I’m going to copy Randalin a little bit and talk about Nora first

Nora is…
Growing – up so freaking fast.  She has such an independent little mind now and she’s FINALLY getting taller and gaining more weight lol.  I love how she plays now and how she loves to do more interactive things too.
Making – a mess of everything lol.  That kid can be in a room that’s spotless and within 3 seconds – it looks like a tornado hit it. But as long as she’s having fun – I don’t really care lol.
Worrying – Nora doesn’t have too many worries right now.  I think sometimes she worries that Giraffey has gone missing when she can’t find him right away at night, but that’s about it so far.
Dancing – to Gangnam Style.  That’s right folks, my little girl can do Gangnam Style and it’s a hoot.  As soon as the song comes on she’s busting a move.  As a dance teacher mom – I LOVE IT!
Laughing – at everything.  She has recently learned how to tickle other people and loves to pull up Daddy’s shirt and tickle his belly, so then he laughs, then she laughs and it’s the cutest thing ever.

I am…
Growing – HUGE.  I feel like my belly has taken over.  One of these days I’ll do a real pregnancy update – I wish that I’d been keeping better track this time around, but alas, I’m too tired and busy lol.
Making – tutu’s!  I didn’t do so well at the Craft Fair in November but this month alone – I’ve had orders for 4 tutu’s!! YAY!!  I’m super happy about that.
Worrying – about everything lol.  About moving.  About having two babies under two.  About finishing dances for competition.  About Dance competition.  About having enough hours for mat leave.  About Nora when baby gets here.  About Paul and his school.  About Paul going to Europe without me for a week.  About Paul’s grandmother (we just found out she is quite ill).  About not having a clean house.  This list could go on forever.
Dancing – to competition music.  Only 5 weeks left until my students go to compete – I have only 2 dances that aren’t finished yet.  And it’s frustrating because I’m missing students so I haven’t been able to finish them.  And I’m also starting rec class recital dances too – my brain is swimming with choreography.
Laughing – at my cute baby and her dancing.  It makes me smile so much.

Happy Thursday everyone!!!

Happy New Year!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Okay so I’m a tad bit late with my New Year’s post can you blame me?  I was on the beach in Jamaica for New Year’s this year and we had no internet access at all.  It was actually super nice to be unplugged for awhile but I sure missed reading my fave blogs while I was gone.  And I actually really missed blogging too.  But we’ve been SO busy since we got back last Sunday that I really haven’t had a chance to sit down and write anything at all.  I’ve pretty much worked every day since we got home, except yesterday when I unpacked suitcases and started the mountains of laundry that we have lol.

I have however made some New Year’s Resolutions this year that I’m hoping I will be able to keep.  Or at least attempt to keep.  They are my 13 of 2013.

1.   Blog at least once a week (My first week was a write off due to holidays but from here on out that is definitely my goal).
2. Do one Pinterest project a month.  I have a million things pinned that I want to try I might as well make it a goal lol.
3. Finish (ahem, start) Nora’s baby book before Baby Girl gets here.
4.  Read one new book per month.  I miss reading. I’m almost done my book for January and I will review it when I’m done J
5.  Lose my baby weight I know I haven’t even had Baby Girl yet but Paul’s Graduation Ball is 4 weeks after my due date and I want to look nice in a Ball Gown.
6.  Donate one bag per month to charity from our house.  Whether it’s my clothing, or Nora’s or Paul’s or it’s food for the food bank I just want to be able to give to charity.
7.  Start and finish both Jamaica scrapbooks (the one from our trip two years ago and the this year’s trip as well).
8. Move back home J And when I say back home, I mean back to my hometown. We know we are getting posted out west back “home” in the late spring/early summer. So I want to make sure that our move goes smoothly with an almost two year old and a one month old baby and a dog.  It should be fun, right??
9. Get more blog followers.  I don’t want to set a specific number on this but I do want to increase it J
10.Drink More Water!  I’m so bad for not drinking enough water and I’m noticing that being pregnant, I definitely need it.
11.  Be more positive.  Just in general.  I’ve noticed that I can be pretty negative in regards to certain areas of my life and I want to be a great role model for my girls and that includes being more positive.
12.  Start the “Card Challenge” with my mom and my sister again.  We were sending each other homemade cards every week.  And I miss doing that.
13.  Clean and organize all of the closets in our house.  It seems like all the closets are catch-all’s here.  We have two closets on the main floor that both house jackets and shoes and crap.  And Nora’s closet is still craft supplies and the office closet has random things in it.  So I would like to eventually organize every closet in the house so that they match the room that they are in lol.

So there you have it my 13 in 2013.  I will check in once a month with this list to make sure I’m keeping myself accountable.  Do you have any new year’s resolutions??
