Snowflake Swap

I participated in the Snowflake Swap this year and it was SO much fun.  I need to remember that I have to send my packages a teensy bit earlier than the deadline so that it actually arrives in time lol.  I was paired with Jane from Poppiness and I had a blast trying to find fun wintery and Canadian goodies for her.

I received my box on Christmas Eve actually so we opened the package on Christmas Day :)

Here is the box sitting in my living room (don't mind the stroller and baby doll on the floor lol).

Inside my box were some AWESOME goodies!!

- outfits for both of my little girls (thanks so much, Nora is in love with her shirt!)
- notebooks and pens
- ribbon
- candle warmer things (wax - I don't know what they are called but they go in my warmer lol)
- and a SUPER FUN scarf.  It's like you read my mind.  I have an obsession with scarves so this was great!

I had an awesome time with this swap and I can't wait until next Christmas :)

So What???

Life After I Dew

Linking up with Shannon for SWW

So What…

- if I’m mostly done my Christmas shopping but I want to keep buying more?

- if I’m BEYOND excited for my sister to arrive home in 3 sleeps???  Seriously though, I know it’s only been since October that I’ve seen her but I really miss her and I can’t wait for her to see our house and see the girls and to just hang out with her.  We may have a girly night planned which I’m super pumped for too!

- if I don’t care about presents for me this Christmas.  I’m so much more excited about Nora and Annika this year.  Especially since Nora understands the whole Christmas thing a little bit better this year.  And she knows that it’s Baby Jesus’s birthday, she asked if there would be a cake for him.  It was adorable.

- if I haven’t gotten anything done in the past week.  We were entertaining.  I like the way that sounds lol.  My in-laws were in town and it was an odd visit as they weren’t staying with us (there’s no room in our military house for extra people) so they stayed with a family friend.  So I never really knew when they were coming or going.  Made things difficult for me but I’m learning to live with it lol.  And as much as this blog is my personal blog and I should be able to blog about whatever, I don’t know who in “family” reads this so I have to start watching what I say lol.

- if I haven’t gotten my etsy store opened yet.  I’m working on it.  My goal is to get things ready for the new year and hopefully get things going with it.

- if I’m excited for my sister to get here.   Oh wait, did I mention that already?  Well yea, I’m just a little excited lol.

Happy Wednesday y’all!!  It’s one week til Christmas!!!  Have you finished your Christmas shopping??

So What Wednesday

Linking up over at Life After I Dew for some So What Wednesday action.

So what....

- if I have to blog from my iPad now because the only time I can do anything is at night while I'm trying to fall asleep.

- if I am living solely on Cherry Coke and chocolate. Teething is a tough time in this household.

- if I have a sore on my tongue from biting it so much this week. We have visitors.

- if I now have to censor myself on my blog because I'm afraid some friends and family that didn't know about my blog know about it now. Which sucks. But c'est la vie.

- if my two year old still doesn't always sleep through the night. Our house gets weirdly cold. I don't blame her.

- if I hate my house. It's military housing. With very little insulation. I can not regulate the temperature in this place. And that sucks when it's -35C.

- if I'm super stoked. My sister gets here in 10 days folks!!!! I can't wait to see her. And I'm also happy to report that we are horrible people and taught Nora to call Danie's bf 'Uncle' lol. It's super cute and Nora prays for him every night at bedtime.

That's all y'all. Happy Wednesday!

December

Ummmm it's December 7th already. What?!?! Where did the first week of this month go? I feel like I've been non stop on the go all month already and it's so not going to slow down at all. My in-laws are in town this week (wish me luck is all I can say). We have Christmas parties, pot lucks, dance, gymnastics and all sorts of things happening. Oh and did I mention that it's freaking cold outside???? It's minus 26 Celsius here right now feels like minus 37 with the windchill (-15F feels like -35F for my American friends). All I want to do is drink hot chocolate and snuggle under blankets lol.

So here are some pics of December so far

We have a mover. Who climbs into shelving units already.

Holly Joy our elf on a shelf came to live with us.

Sisterly love. Nora was teaching Annika to swing.

Chocolate covered popcorn. Sounds odd but it's oh so good.

Holly Joy reading to Nora's toys.

Some of our snow. It's snowed more since this picture. I hate shovelling. Actually I like it but not when it's so freaking cold.

Holly Joy hanging out in the shower.

Nora tried to decorate the tree. Also pictured is my homemade tree skirt. I love it.

I won this massive Mickey Mouse at the coffee break at the Military Family Resource Centre on Thursday morning. Nora and Annika love him. He's huge.

Hopefully I get some more down time to post this week. That's what having the in-laws here will help with, right????
