Sunday fun day

I had a great Sunday. It started off kind of questionable with a 6:30am wake up from the girls. That was not enjoyable lol. Paul made us all eggs and toast for breakfast and then we got ready for church. Now, we haven't been to church in ages. Partially because of Paul's work schedule and because I'm not a huge fan of the new priest at the base chapel. So we tried a new church today. And it was amazing. It made me realize how much I miss going to church. I definitely think we will be going there again. They even had Children's Liturgy for Nora, and she went willingly without us going with her. It was great.

Hope y'all had a great Sunday!!!

Here are my two cuties in their Sunday best!!

New Month, New Name

So I've decided to revamp the blog... I'm changing the name, changing the look... and I think I'm going to attempt to do it all by myself (I may change my mind in about 2 days lol but I'm going to try it first).  I'm really excited about the change.  I love my blog, I have neglected it lately because life has been so hectic and crazy but I really miss writing.  Here's a brief recap of life at this moment:

- Paul finished his course!! YAY!! So now we wait.  We are waiting on the rest of his course to finish up their checkrides and then we will receive our posting message.  That determines where we will move, if we move.  I'm still crossing my fingers that we get to stay here but everything we've been told so far, is indicating that we will be moving - we just don't know where.

- Nora is in Nursery School three times a week.  And it's French.  And she's doing amazing.  She's only three but she can count to ten in french, she can write her own name now, she knows all of her colours in both french and english, and she's starting to learn her alphabet in french.  I'm going to be devastated if we move away from her teacher, Miss Maurina (she is hands down the best child care worker/teacher I have ever dealt with).

- Annika is starting to potty train.  SAY WHAT?  I know, that's what I said too.  She is regularly telling us she needs to pee and will actually sit on the potty and pee.  Craziness.  She's only 18 months.  She's walking, running, climbing, starting to talk more.  And she still doesn't sleep through the night.  And I'm still nursing her because she won't stop lol.  We tried to end it and that went horribly so we will see.  Now that Paul's done his course and I don't care if he sleeps through the night anymore, we may try again lol.

- Me, well I'm still selling Jamberry, still selling Stampin' Up and still making headbands and tutu's (and to everyone who I asked for addresses from - your stuff is getting sent out shortly!!!).  Nothing is doing super well but nothing is doing horribly.  I'm kind of in a rut right now and I'm hoping that blogging again will help bring me out of it.

So there you have it!  Happy November and have a great weekend!!!

Catching Up

So I'm bad with blogging lately.  And scrapbooking.  And journaling.  I feel like I'm falling behind in keeping track of all the fun things we do, all the little and the big things we do.  I WILL try to catch up, October is MY month so I will make things happen.  Here's a little recap of September's goals and how I did and also some new goals for October.

September Goals
1.  Organize craft area.  This is a major must do on my list, it's a wreck in my basement and I need to get it cleaned lol.  * This did not happen.  I organized a little bit but it's like it needs to get worse before it gets better, right??? (or at least that's my story and I'm sticking with it).

2.  Change Annika's crib to a bed.  This one makes me cry a little but since she can now climb out of things, we may as well switch her to a big girl bed, and then maybe both she and her sister will be able to sleep in the same room! * DONE and DONE.  They officially share their bedroom now.  And most nights, she sleeps in her bed the whole night long.  She's been sick the past couple of days so she's been waking up at around 3am and wanders into our room and hits me until I wake up and pick her up for snuggles lol.

3.  Go through the girl's dresser and closet.  With the possibility of a posting in the very near future or at least a move in houses, I need to get things organized in their room. * DID IT!!  Totally organized their dresser and bedroom closet.  Clothes that don't fit Nora but are waiting for Annika are in rubbermaids in the closet.  Clothes that we have pre-bought for Nora are in the closet in a rubbermaid too.  And now I have to go through the itty bitty baby clothes.

4.  Plan and hold a Card making event.  I have one scheduled for September 30.  Hopefully the turn out is as good as the last one I had. * DONE!! It was a great success - there were 12 people there! My last one had 8.  Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we made some beautiful cards.

5. Host a fall launch for Jamberry.  The new catalogues were released today and they are awesome.  I'm super pumped to be involved with Jamberry. * NOPE.  I've been so busy with other stuff - it just didn't happen.  I do have two parties scheduled for this month though.

6.  Bake cookies.  I haven't baked all summer because it's been so hot and we don't have AC.  I can't wait for the weather to cool down just a teensy bit so I can bake :) * I made mini blueberry muffins but I haven't made any cookies yet.  I will be making some for a friends little boy soon, so I'm pumped for that.

7.  Clean off the desk in the office.  We have our new furniture in the dining room/office and the desk has become a dumping ground lately.  I want to clean it off and start to get all of our paperwork organized (again, in case of an upcoming move). *Nope, definitely didn't completely happen this month...maybe in October??

OCTOBER GOALS:

1.  Clean/Rearrange Master Bedroom - should be straightforward - I'm sick of the clutter on all the surfaces in the room, and I really should do something with all those maternity clothes lol.

2.  Go through baby clothes. I think I've been putting this one off, partially because I'm denying the fact that my "baby" is now 18 months old (WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE??) and because it means I may have to say no more babies here.  I really want another one, but Paul is undecided... so we wait.

3.  Do our wedding thank yous.  Yes.  We got married almost 3 years ago, but seriously, we've been super busy since then, two kids, moved across the country.  But I want them to be done before Christmas.  That's my goal.

4.  Make a silver dress for Nora (must be done by 18 October).  Nora is the flower girl in my girlfriend's wedding - she needs a silver dress.  Which is nearly impossible to find for a 3 year old.  I'm going to attempt to make one.  Without my Mother's help because she is away this month... this may be a ridiculous goal, but I'm going to attempt it.

5.  Work on 1 skillshare class.  I signed up for it and haven't done anything.

6.  Reach 5000 Swagbucks.  As of right now I'm at 3,302.  It's doable...right??

Anywho, that's all from me for now - naptime is almost over.  Happy Monday!!

Happy Day

So I'm skipping today's #blogtober theme because, well, it's my birthday!

And I don't feel like posting a huge blog today lol.

I've had a wonderful day, with lots of texts, phone calls and of course Facebook greetings too.

Paul and the girls spoiled me rotten and bought me a new pandora charm for my bracelet. Then tonight while I was at my dance class, they made me cards and cupcakes. It was adorable.

So on that note, I'm off to bed to get some sleep so I can be well rested for my crazy Friday.

Happy Thursday y'all!

#Blogtober

So I might be a little bit late with my first post during the lovely month of October but today is "what would you do if you won the lottery?"

First things first (fyi - I totally sang that in my head lol). I would pay off all debts that we have (our van loan)'and I would put money aside for a new house.

Then I would put away enough money for each of the girls to attend school for four years wherever they would like to go.

After that I would take a spa day in Jamaica. Ok, spa week. And while I was there I would decide which charities I would donate to. I would give a bunch of money to our local Military Family Resource Centre because they have been awesome to us. I would also give money to battered women's shelters here in the city.

I would then pay off my parents mortgage and my in laws mortgage. And give money to my sister to be used for a large event that I want to happen for her but I can't control when it will happen. She knows what I'm talking bout lol. I would buy Paul whatever car he wants (it changes on a regular basis - the last car he said he reeeeeeally wanted was a porche of some sort I think lol).

And then I would relax, I would just keep living like we do now, but I wouldn't stress about money anymore lol.

I'll edit this in the morning to include the links to #blogtober. I love my iPad mini button sometimes it makes blogging difficult lol.

Oh Hey September!?!?!

So it's September now... say what?!?!?!?  Where did my summer go?

So instead of recapping summer stuff right now, we will just jump right into September with my new list of goals lol.

September Goals

Hope y'all had a wonderful Labour Day Long Weekend, we enjoyed a lot of quality family time which was super nice!

I plan to blogging regularly again now that it's fall and hopefully things slow down a little bit (who am I kidding - it's never a slow, dull day around here!! Lol).

Oh Hey Friday (but really super early on Saturday morning lol)

Linking up with the lovely ladies over at The Farmer's Wife and September Farm.  I'm sometimes feel jealous because they both live on farms, but then I remember that I'm totally a city girl at heart lol.

So here are my Five FUN and FABULOUS things about my week:

1.  I started selling Jamberry nails (http://karenhansen.jamberrynails.net - check it out lol) and I had my launch party this week.  It went AMAZINGLY.  I'm so happy with the first party.  I had 8 people show up and 7 of them ordered stuff (the 8th didn't because she was leaving for holidays for 3 weeks this morning lol). Super pumped.

Love fern!

2.  I did a bunch of volunteer work this week at the MFRC (Military Family Resource Centre - I think it's like the American version of the MWR? I could be wrong lol).  Wednesday I helped make lollipops for the kids program out of Jolly Ranchers and did some photocopying.  Then today it was helping make a Poutine Bar for the day camp.  For all you Americans - Poutine is french fries and squeaky cheese covered with gravy.  It's delicious.  If you ever come to Canada, you MUST try it.

3.  My grandparents on my Mom's side passed away several years ago.  I miss them a lot but this week, I got to have a little piece of family treasure.  My Uncle and his wife received a new dining room set from a family member of hers and in turn, they gave us my Grandparents dining room set.  It is beautiful and I am so proud and honoured that they gave it to us.  And it was special because we actually picked it up on my Grandparents anniversary.

4.  My dear sweet husband has been working so hard on this course that he is on.  In this last phase of the course, he has 10 flights he has to complete - 4 in tactical, 2 in Search and Rescue, 2 surveillance and then 2 Checkrides (I could be wrong on what they are all called). He has now completed his 4 tactical flights and he did really well on them - he actually had Standard Exceeded on two of his flights (which is SUPER awesome!)  I'm so proud of him.

5.  Tomorrow night we are having a BBQ with our neighbours.  One set of neighbours went away for 4 weeks in June and then 3 weeks in July and we watched their house for them.  In return for that, they gave us (both us and our other neighbours) WAY too much money for watching their house.  We didn't want to accept it, but they wouldn't say no - so we are using that money to have a big BBQ.  We are heading out to the Farmer's Market in the morning to pick up all fresh veggies, meat and potatoes and probably a dessert for it.  I'm super excited because I haven't been to the Farmer's Market at all this year yet.

Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL weekend.  It's a long weekend for us up here in Canada, so I may not post again until Tuesday (unless I figure out how to make my wifi work in the backyard by the kiddie pool lol).
