Linking up with Randalin and Lindsey!

Currently:

We are Loving having Daddy back home.  Paul was in the field for a week (and boy it was a long week lol) and he came home Wednesday night,  Nora was very happy to have him back.

I am Losing my mind.  I walk into a room and can’t remember why I went in there in the first place.  Mommy mush brain has taken over my life.

I am Remembering my little babies who are both starting to get so big.  Nora is potty-training now.  WHAT?  When did my little girl get so big? And Miss Annika will be three months old on Saturday.  Time is flying by so fast and I’m remembering every day just how special and precious life can be.

We are Clearing our schedule this weekend to spend time with Paul’s sister Melissa who arrives in town tonight!

I am Picking my battles.  With everyone really.  I’m trying to not be so judgmental and to not fly off the hook everytime I get upset.  It’s hard but I am making progress lol.

Happy Thursday y’all!

A little So What Wednesday Walkabout

So What Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon for So What Wednesdays and linking up to the Wednesday Walkabout with Chantal, Jane, Sarah, Jamie and Chelsea this week!

So What If...

- I really didn’t get much done while Paul was on land survival for a week.  I kept our kids fed, mostly clothed and we all survived – that’s gotta count for something right??

- I signed up for a 5K run and really haven’t trained for it at all.  We don’t have a double jogger and with Paul being gone, I couldn’t train.

- we sit at home most days.  We also go out sometimes but it’s so much more work to get both kids out of the house.

- I bought pull-ups for Nora yesterday.  She used the “potty” all day yesterday.  And that was wearing diapers.  The only time we missed it was when she went for a nap (and she was upset that her diaper was wet) and when we were in the van going to Costco and she was also upset that she didn’t use the potty.  I don’t want to jinx things or push her so we’re letting her take the lead with all of this.

- Our house hasn’t sold yet.  We’re still paying down on the mortgage so that’s a good thing.  And really, we are still doing okay budget wise.  It’s not the BEST situation but it’s livable and doable.  We will survive and God has a plan for this.

- if I am doing my devotional at midnight every night right now.  I am a night owl and I can’t sleep when Paul’s gone – so it’s been working really well.  I started doing She Reads Truth.  I wish that there was a women’s Bible study at our church… I may need to talk to Father about getting one started.

- if I really miss the ladies from the CWL and really I just miss Kingston a lot. Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE being back “home” and being close to my parents, but I really miss the home we made in Kingston.

Hope you all have a happy Hump day and thanks for stopping by

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday
Linking up with Carissa at Lowercase Letters!!

First of all – today’s Monday?? WHAT!?!?! Where on earth did my weekend go?  Or the first half of July for that matter lol.  Time seems to be zipping right by, which is a good yet bad thing
So here’s some miscellaneous info in point form for y’all:

- I like saying y’all and darlin’ – people in Canada make fun of me for it.  I think it’s just because I spent my early years in Oklahoma.
- Kudos to all those Momma’s that parent your kids alone (whether due to family issues or military service or other jobs that cause time apart).  I have been on my own with the little ladies since Wednesday morning and I only have 2 sleeps until Paul gets home.  Momma’s going cray-cray here.  I think it will be easier/better once both girls are a little older but a 12 week old and a 2 year are tough to parent together.
- Nora has started feeding her babies.  It’s adorable, especially because she lifts up her shirt and puts them on her belly button and says eat eat.  It could be worse, right??
- Our house still hasn’t sold yet.  I’m not sure what’s wrong with it, or why it’s still on the market but I’m going crazy right now with a mortgage and paying rent and all of the bills on both houses.  Luckily the Canadian Military does help out quite a bit so we’re not totally poor, but they only help for so long and time is ticking down making me panic even more.  So if you’re the praying type (or you know anyone moving to Kingston, Ontario) please help us out :)  We would greatly appreciate it.
- I miss blogging, but being the only parent – cleaning the house and parenting takes priority over blogging lol.  I promise I will start to post more frequently.  And finally put up the pictures from Nora’s Cabbage Patch Birthday Party.

HAPPY MONDAY Y’ALL!

Linking up with Randalin and Lindsey today for Currently!!

This week’s themes are Trying, Wearing, Choosing, Laughing, and Tasting

Nora is:

Trying my patience?? Lol  Just kidding.  She’s been very adventurous lately and has been trying to climb and jump off of everything.  She is also trying to be a dancer we were watching So You Think You Can Dance this week and she totally tried to tap dance, it was adorable.

Wearing
size 24 month clothing!! FINALLY!  She turned 2 at the end of June and she’s always been on the small side, but she is finally into some 24 month stuff.  Although 18 month clothes still fit her much better.

Choosing what she eats.  What she wears.  What she does.  Where she goes.  It’s cute and frustrating at the same time.  It just means my little girl is growing up.

Laughing at her little sister.  Whenever Annika is crying, Nora comes over and giggles and tries to make her laugh and it’s adorable.

Tasting Ice Cream.  Lots and lots of ice cream it’s so hot here.

Annika is:
Wearing 0-3 month clothing still. thank goodness my baby is still itty bitty lol.
Laughing she is laughing and cooing and it’s absolutely adorable now.

I am:
Trying to drink more water.  It’s working, most of the time.  I just need to try to cut my coca-cola habit lol.

Wearing dresses, skirts, tanks, anything that will help keep me cool.  We finally have AC in our bedroom but nowhere else in our house and it’s HOT here.  I seriously thought I left the heat in Ontario but it’s been in the high 30’s with the humidity here that’s in Celsius lol.

Choosing to stay positive.  There are a lot of things that are kind of sucky right now but I’m choosing to try to stay positive about everything.

Laughing at Nora and her expressions.  She’s finally talking so much more now and it’s adorable how she mimics everyone and everything.  I love it.

Tasting Cold cold water.  Like I said, I’m trying to drink more water so that’s my main taste of the week.
